My name is Maria Balkji, and I am currently completing my clinical fellowship year. I became a speech-language pathologist after my own children needed early intervention services. Experiencing that journey as a parent gave me a deep understanding of the challenges families face and inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others find their voice.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Fullerton, and my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University. With my Armenian heritage and ability to speak multiple languages, I am able to connect with families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and provide care that is both empathetic and culturally responsive.

I am passionate about supporting children and families through every stage of communication development and creating therapy experiences that are meaningful, engaging, and empowering. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, traveling to new destinations, and exploring new cultures.
